While on vacation, I had hoped Indiana wouldn’t let me down when it came to satisfying my love of pre-1950’s cottage style homes. I was right. Plenty of eye candy last week. Now more than ever, I have this tiny little fantasy of me and the mister closing on our first home, drinking celebratory champagne on the front porch swing, and sitting with friends and neighbors as a storm rolls in and the rain comes down. Cheesy and trite? Maybe. But that’s just how I roll. One day I hope to live in a bungalow that’s equally as cute as this one.

I have an eccletic sense of style. Especially when it comes to my home. I love vintage pieces, but I also love modern pieces. {Really Jess? Did you really need to state the obvious? Based solely on JessBecause’s motto, your readers could have assumed that by now. Okay, moving on….}

Sometimes mixing the two can be a bit of a challenge. I’m fine with challenges. Check out these images I found somewhere on the interwebs. {Shoot, I forgot to jot down the source!} I love how warm the rooms feel. I love the neutral colors without feeling drab. I love the flow. And I really love the brick wall in the bedroom! All in all, it’s a keeper.
