Well ladies and gents, I bought myself an early birthday present this morning….. Couldn’t help it. Once I found this extremely sweet shop on Etsy this morning. the temptation took over. Really.

Luxe Deluxe Jewelry is handmade by Adrienne Morikawa from a small studio in Edinburgh. Her online boutique consists of mostly necklaces but has a smidgen of bracelets and earrings too. All of her jewelry is created using a vast array of unusual findings: rare vintage brass, retro Japanese & Czech glass, sweet Sterling Silver charms, antiqued Pewter charms, gold filled charms, vintage carved acrylics, vintage Lucite, Swarovski crystals, and also a selection of fine quality gemstones.

Last Sunday, while posted up at the Farmers Market, I noticed something on my table. A bit of empty space. And that’s when it happened. I made a decision.

Must. Incorporate. Fresh. Flowers.

I love walking into local boutiques, getting a whiff of the freshly cut blooms. It just adds something so… what’s the word…. fresh and happy and youthful and joyous! It just makes the toes tingle, and what’s not to love about that feeling? So, after much brainstorming, I’ve* figured out the best way to showcase the buds {insert as many adjectives for “flower” as possible into this post}: in my favorite vintage tin cans.

I had no idea this super cool shop in Cardiff, California {my neighboring town} existed. Seems I’ve been lacking on my daily local blog reading. Hey, better late than never. Right? Right. So anyway, I’ve yet to visit the shop. At least in reality. I’ve spent the past 28 minutes clicking on every link within their website. I don’t want to miss any goodness you know. Anyway, I do plan on visiting and making the necessary introductions. And I’m pretty excited about it too!

Ebb and Flow is a rad little surf/art inspired clothing shop. Their decor design is on spot. I love the light airy feeling but yet tons of colors jumps out from the corner to high-five me! Yeah, see… very cool indeed. Also, their open sign outside is the definition of eye candy. First thought: Yay, open! Next thought: Man, that fishie looks familiar. Why does he look oh so familiar? Ah hah! That’s the same fish design from Ando & Friends, a really fun apparel line.

As it turns out, from now until the end of the year, Andy Davis {from Ando & Friends} will be exhibiting his art at Ebb and Flow’s shop! I can’t wait to see his pieces in person. San Diego’s Riviera Magazine did a bit about Andy recently. See it here. Then, after you’re all done, let’s all check out his work and Cardiff’s newest pop-up shop together! We could bring lemonade and pretzels with us! Who’s in?!
